Flight Explorer Names Beth Conord Director of Sales
Fairfax, VA - March 27, 2001 - Flight Explorer, the world's leading provider of Internet-based real-time flight tracking and information systems today announced the appointment of Beth Conord as director of sales.
Conord brings to Flight Explorer more than a dozen years of experience in the telecommunications, energy and software industries, launching numerous successful marketing and sales campaigns. This is a new position at Flight Explorer. The company was spun off from Dimensions International Inc. earlier this year.

Before joining Flight Explorer, Conord was senior marketing manager of telesales for Cable & Wireless, where she launched a new telesales channel aimed at small and medium-sized businesses. She built and managed a team to support new acquisition and cross-sell opportunities for Internet and long distance services. While at Cable & Wireless, Conord exceeded sales performance goals and showed month over month increases as high as 84 percent.
Before Cable & Wireless, Conord was senior marketing manager of Columbia Energy Services where the marketing and sales campaigns she led tripled the customer base in only 11 months. At Columbia, she designed and implemented marketing plans for entry into seven newly deregulated markets. Prior to Columbia, Conord was manager of competitive analysis for MCI WorldCom where she was instrumental in the company's rollout of long-distance and local telecom products and services. Conord's experience also includes positions at Raxco, Inc and Andersen Consulting.
Conord has a B.S. in marketing from San Diego State University and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
