HONEYWELL AND FLIGHT EXPLORER ANNOUNCE NEW WORLD-WIDE AIRCRAFT TRACKING FOR FLIGHT EXPLORER® USERS

Expanded Coverage Made Possible By Link From Honeywell's Global Data Center. Announcement at NBAA

REDMOND, Wash., and ARLINGTON, Va., October 7, 2003 - Honeywell (NYSE: HON) and Flight Explorer® today announced an integration of services that will enable aircraft operators to use the Flight Explorer aircraft situation display to track their business aircraft nearly anywhere in the world using a desk-top computer. The announcement was made at the National Business Aviation Association convention in Orlando, Fla. Flight Explorer is in booth 6351; Honeywell is in booth 5343.

The new capability results from combining Flight Explorer's tracking, filtering, and display capabilities with the worldwide data services from Honeywell's Global Data Center (GDC).

"Corporate aircraft users will surely be excited to gain access to Honeywell's data directly through Flight Explorer," said Walt Kross, President and CEO of Flight Explorer. "This significant development will enable them to track their aircraft nearly anywhere in the world."
Flight Explorer's Canadian customers include major and regional airlines such as WestJet Airlines, Air Canada Jazz, air charter operators and fixed-base operators (FBOs).

Accessed through the Internet from a personal computer, Flight Explorer products provide aircraft operators with a real-time picture of airborne aircraft. It also provides a dynamic weather overlay. This information previously has been available only for the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, the Caribbean and parts of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.

With the addition of Honeywell's data, Flight Explorer users will be able to plot participating aircraft anywhere the aircraft have data communication capability. For most aircraft with satellite communications systems, the coverage area will include anywhere on Earth except the polar regions.
This new service is available to Flight Explorer users who subscribe to Honeywell's Global Data Center services. GDC services can be accessed by aircraft with any of the following datalink communications systems: Honeywell's Airborne Flight Information System (AFIS®), Teledyne Control's TeleLink™, or Universal Avionics' UniLink® avionics systems.
