Flight Explorer Expands Integration Capability with the Release of FE Professional™ Edition 5.0c
Alexandria, VA. – November 2, 2005 – Flight Explorer (FE), a global information and communications solutions provider to the aviation community, today announced the release of Flight Explorer Professional Edition™ 5.0c. Version 5.0c delivers extended integration capabilities with third party and customer in-house systems and provides FE clients valuable feature enhancements.
Flight Explorer Professional is the industry's most accurate, reliable and widely used aircraft situation display (ASD) system. Beyond its existing ability to interface with Windows-based applications running on the same desktop, Version 5.0c can easily interface with Java and non-Windows based clients.
The FE Professional interface has been expanded to include two-way, interactive route building, evaluation and optimization. This new tool can be fully integrated with flight planning systems and customer applications and then be evaluated against known weather patterns and FAA delays. The route can then be modified and optimized and sent back to the originating system to be filed, lowering fuel cost and saving the customer time and money. Release 5.0c also brings with it updates to key data sources, as well as other enhancements in response to requests from FE’s global customer base.

The release of FE Professional Version 5.0c follows the July launch of FE’s Aircraft Data and Messaging (ADAM) solution. ADAM provides aircraft operators the ability to extend their operations centers to the cockpit by providing satellite coverage for worldwide aircraft tracking combined with voice and data communications. Together, FE Professional and ADAM provide Flight Explorer clients with the industry’s most complete global aircraft tracking and communications solution.
